We are holding our first Asian Pear recipe contest! If you want to enter, all you have to do is come get some Asian Pears and start peeling, chopping and making something delicious!

To enter:

1) Post a photo of your masterpiece on Facebook as a public post

2) follow and tag us in your post

3) add the hashtags #virginiagoldorchard and #recipecontest

Two winners will be announced here on October 27th and on Facebook and will both get two oversized boxes of "Scratch n Dent" Asian Pears - that's over 30 pounds of fruit!

What is a "Scratch n Dent" pear? If you've ever had samples of our pears at the orchard, then you've had a "Scratch n Dent" pear! They have one or two small blemishes, but they still make for great eating, no matter if you plan on eating them fresh or cooked.

Right now "Scratch n Dent" pears are just $26 for at least 15 pounds! And if you come get any of our other pears at regular price, we will give you a couple free "Scratch n Dent" pears if you mention you're interested in entering the recipe contest.
